Sustainable Farm Certification International, Ltd., a subsidiary of the Rainforest Alliance, is an accredited Certification Body of the Sustainable Agriculture Network, responsible for making certification decisions of farms and groups that comply with the requirements set forth in the Sustainable Agriculture Standards.
The Sustainable Agriculture Network is a coalition of leading conservation groups that links responsible farmers with conscientious consumers by means of the Rainforest Alliance CertifiedTM seal of approval. Its collective vision is based on the concept of sustainability, recognizing that the well-being of societies and ecosystems is intertwined and dependent on development that is environmentally sound, socially equitable and economically viable. The Sustainable Agriculture Network develops and owns the Sustainable Agriculture Standard. The standards developed by the Sustainable Agriculture Network Secretariat comply with the Code of Good Practice for Setting Social and Environmental Standards of the International Social and Environmental Accreditation and Labeling (ISEAL) Alliance.
